Mary M. Howie is a graduate of the University of Lowell and Western New England School of Law. Additionally, she has earned a Masters of Degree of Business Administration and Finance from Rivier College.

She is a member of the New Hampshire and Massachusetts State Bars, the Family Law, Elder Law, Estate Planning and Probate Sections of the New Hampshire Bar. She is the immediate past president of the Wallace Figure Skating Club and volunteers regularly in her children's schools.

She is a member of the New Hampshire State Bar, the Elder Law, Estate Planning and Probate Sections of the New Hampshire Bar, and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She is also on the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Women's Bar Association and has served for several years on the Board of Directors of the Manchester City Library Foundation in Manchester, N.H.
